The ship was sailing from Jamaica to Philadelphia carrying 25 passengers and a cargo loaded with sugar, rum, beef, molasses, and Spanish currency. A Quaker merchant named Jonathan Dickenson was among one of the 25 passengers on this ship, little did he know that an 11,500 acre state park will one day be named in his honor.
